ODOT-Approved Drivers Education Course Requirements
ODOT Requirements for Teen Course Permitted Drivers 15 yrs to 18 yrs Old
- 30 hours of Classroom Instruction
- 6 hours of Behind the Wheel Instruction (driving lessons)(includes driving test)
- 6 hours of Observation of Behind the Wheel Instruction
- 5 hours minimum of practice drive with parent/guardian during program duration.

Winter Course - FULL

Spring 1 Course - $850
Our Spring 1 ODOT Approved Teen course starts on March 31st, 2025 and
ends May 10th, 2025.
Class Schedule
Monday and Tuesday - 5:00 - 7:30pm
Week 1 - March 31st, April 1st
(Parents are required to be present for the first hour of the first class.)
Week 2 - April 7th, 8th
Week 3 - April 14th, 15th
Week 4 - April 21st, 22nd
Week 5 - April 28th, 29th
Week 6 - May 5th, 6th (Written test)
Behind the Wheel Instruction - Will match the same weeks as classes
Days and Times - TBD
Actual drive times will be determined as students register, and finalized at the Parents Meeting. (1st Class time)
Students MUST bring their permits for Behind the Wheel Instruction.
Behind the Wheel Test will be give on the students last scheduled day to drive.
Spring 2 Course - $850
Our Spring 2 ODOT Approved Teen course starts on May 12th, 2025 and
ends June 21st, 2025.

CODE Policies - Teen
Payment - Full payment is required for registration. (Checks will be deposited 1 week prior to Parents Meeting)
Being on time and present for the entire length of class is critical for passing the drivers course.
Students must bring their Playbook.
Make up Class time - $100 per hour
Make up Drive time - $150 per hour
Students MUST bring their permits for all Behind the Wheel Instructions and the test.
The student must have fulfilled all classroom time (30hrs) prior to taking the written test.
The student must have passed the written test and fulfilled all drive time
(6 BTW/6 Observation/5 Parent Guided Practice) and have submitted the Practice Drive Log to be eligible to take the drive test.

Summer Course - $1495
Our Summer Course will be available for both Teens and Adults.
This Course will be using the ODOT Teen Course curriculum, but will NOT include a DMV approved test.
Classroom - 1375 SE Wilson Ave. Suite 125
1 - 5hr Class - June 8th, 2025 - 9:30am-12:00pm & 2:00pm-4:30pm
Behind the Wheel: June 23rd - Aug 15th, 2025
10 Private drives, each drive is 60 minutes long (upon pickup)
The drives are scheduled before June 8th. The Behind the Wheel schedule is customized to your student. Pick up & Drop off locations are also customized to where your student is and needs. (i.e.: Pick up at your home, then drop off at sports practice, or... (another location or back home).
Some restrictions with proximity to Bend.
This program is designed to offer flexibility, enabling your family to fully enjoy the summer while ensuring that Drivers Education is completed efficiently and at your own pace. With a variety of scheduling options, you can seamlessly incorporate this essential learning experience into your summer plans.
Note: Students will still need to take the Behind the Wheel test from the DMV or a 3rd Party tester, outside of our program for a drivers license.

For missed Behind-the-wheel time, make-up drives can be scheduled for $150 per hour
(Rescheduling a driving lesson at least 48 hours before the scheduled time will waive any make-up fee.)

Tutoring Cost - $100 per hour for Classroom Instruction
- $150 per hour for Behind the Wheel Instruction
Private Instruction will not provide a driving test. The student will still need an ODOT Approved Behind the Wheel Test from the DMV or 3rd Party tester.

We follow the ODOT-Approved Drivers Education Course for Teens. The course is a combination of classroom lecture and Behind the Wheel instruction. The classroom setting will be an inclusive and interactive form of teaching, and the Behind the Wheel instruction is a semi-private format. We will predominantly be teaching from the Playbook R
